Privacy note

This is a placeholder privacy note for Gladiator Tax Assistant. An attorney should replace it before a paid beta, and should be asked about IRC section 7216 if preparers might paste client data.

The app is designed around IRS Publication 4557, Safeguarding Taxpayer Data. Questions are stripped of Social Security numbers, EINs, and similar identifiers before they are saved and before they are sent to a model. The server log records that a question happened, and how many identifiers were removed. It does not record the question text.

What is stored: your name, email, password hash, firm name, optional authenticator secret, saved questions after redaction, and subscription status if Stripe is connected. Saved questions are deleted on the retention schedule (24 months unless you change it) and whenever you delete them.

If a live model is connected, the redacted question and the IRS excerpts are sent to that provider. Pick a provider whose terms say it will not train on or keep that text. Practice mode sends nothing.

Sign-in can require a second factor. The written security plan for the firm still has to name a coordinator and cover the office, not only this app. Publication 5708 is the IRS template. The FTC Safeguards Rule is the underlying rule for preparers.
