Security and compliance

Gladiator Tax Assistant is built around IRS Publication 4557, Safeguarding Taxpayer Data. Social Security numbers, ITINs, EINs, and similar identifiers are stripped before a question is saved and before it is sent to a model. The server log records that a question happened and how many identifiers were removed. It does not record the question.

The FTC Safeguards Rule is the rule that applies to preparers. Publication 5708 is the IRS template for a written information security plan. This app is one control. The firm still names a coordinator and covers the office, the computers, and the people.

IRC section 7216 limits how a preparer can use or disclose tax return information. Do not paste a client’s return into the app. The intended use is a fact pattern, not a person. An attorney should review this page, the privacy note, and the terms before a firm pays.

Billing and contact details can go to Stripe and, if you turn it on, to a CRM. A tax question and a Social Security number do not. The privacy note and the terms are placeholders until an attorney reviews them.
